Kung Fu Panda 2 the Video Game

Everyone who loves the Kung Fu Panda 2 movies will certainly appreciate Kung Fu Panda 2 the video game. The game is rated E10+ and is unquestionably suitable for children and adults. There is plenty of action but nothing too scary for the younger children, plus adults will get a kick out of the quirky humor.

Kung Fu Panda 2 begins with Po, a fat panda bear with a taste for Kung Fu. Po and the Furious Five are in trouble once again, but this time the threat comes from wolves, komodo dragons and some strange gorillas. Po and his crew have to find the source of their troubles and of course, they have many adventures along the way. The story for the game is actually set after the film ends, so it is an exciting continuation of the Kung Fu Panda series. Fans of the movies will totally appreciate the additional material and continuing adventure.

Players of Kung Fu Panda 2 can call in help and include one of several characters in attack sequences. These characters include Po and one of the Furious Five including Tigress, Monkey and Viper. The action is mainly in fighting sequences and each character has a certain amount of Chi which must be replenished in order to survive the fight. Po does most of the fighting himself, but other characters are able to give him advice as he battles with the enemy. The game is extremely child friendly in that each battle involves only one enemy at a time. Po has a good chance to defeat each enemy without losing all of his Chi.

One of the best parts of the Kung Fu Panda 2 game is the mini game included within the story. Called Five Card Fu, this card game is simple to learn and both children and adults will enjoy the break from fighting the enemies. Better cards are found throughout the story and within the side missions during game play. Depending on the platform, the card game can be played against other players with this video game on their system.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is full of fun surprises and activities. Before each battle, the player must choose a Kung Fu form for fighting. This adds the challenge of choosing the best fighting style for each enemy. When playing with the Kinect option, a player is able to call for help from the Furious Five using a voice activated control. Though it is a single player game, Kung Fu Panda 2 incorporates quite a few fun races and food fights which help to break up the fighting. The game incorporates the best of role playing and third person fighting while sticking to the goofy Panda style. Both children and adults will have a delightful time fighting the enemies on Kung Fu Panda 2.
