iPhone alarm, iphone alarm not working, apl, iphone alarm problem, iphone alarm 2011 users around the world found themselves sleeping in once again as a bug in the alarm app left iPhone alarms silent since the start of the new year.

Happy new year, right?
The fix, however, is simple.
All you need to do is set the alarm as recurring.

So instead of a daily alarm set for 6:45, set the alarm for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for 6:45. Even if you just set it for Monday, Tuesday or Tuesday, Wednesday, that would do it too. It's just the single alarm that is not working.

The bug, which has affected the owners of the Apple smartphone for two days, is the second time the iPhone alarm has been hit by a glitch that means it doesn’t go off.

Apple did say that the problem will auto-correct itself on Monday, but many people have found out that's not exactly the case. So until there's a software fix or something more substantial, setting your alarm as recurring is all you should need to do to get up on time tomorrow.

I'm sure you've heard by now - or you were late to work this morning. There's a bug in Apple's iOS 4 software that's preventing alarms from ringing in 2011, iPhone alarm, iphone alarm not working, apl, iphone alarm problem, iphone alarm 2011.

Apple say they are aware of the problem:
"We're aware of an issue related to non-repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2," Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison said in a statement quoted by Macworld.

"Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3."

However that hasn’t helped the thousands of people who claim they’ve been late for work, missed trains, and even planes because their alarms didn’t go off,
