Google Android Beating Down BlackBerry

Google's Android platform managed to shift the position of the operating system Blackberry in the smartphone OS competition. According to research firm Canalys, Android is now in second position or controlling 17 percent of smartphone software platforms market in the third quarter of this year.
In the top spot, still perched Nokia Symbian platform which controls 37 percent of the smartphone OS market. The BlackBerry from Research In Motion (RIM), Apple and Microsoft respectively positioned behind Android.
The prestige Android, according to Canalys, because many cell phone manufacturers that use the operating system. Call it, Motorola Inc., HTC Corp. and Samsung Electronics, puts Google Android as the best platform for mobile devices made by them.
Additionally, Android can be used free of charge and it became one of the operating system that triggers the growth of 'new' presence in the smartphone market two years ago. As a result, Android smartphone price much cheaper than mobile phones made by Nokia, RIM, and Apple.
