Pageant judges include Joy Behar, co-host of ABC’s The View and host of The Joy Behar Show on HLN; Miss America 1990, veterinarian Dr. Debbye Turner Bell; Marc Cherry, creator and executive producer of Desperate Housewives; professional dancer Tony Dovolani of Dancing with the Stars; actress and author Marilu Henner; fashion designer Taryn Rose; and country music star Mark Wills.
The pageant will feature a total of 53 contestants who represent the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Miss America 2010 is Caressa Cameron (picture above) will relinquish her crown to the 2011 winner.
The Miss America Organization offers some $45 million in scholarships annually to young women through its state and local organizations. is also a source of scholarship assistance; according to the official Web site, the organization offered in 2009 more than $45 million in scholarships through state and local organizations.
